Description / Interpretation:

Dedicated to the pioneering spirit of early Japanese Immigrants, the mural includes eight historical photographs depicting their lives, struggles, and achievements. Four are images of the World War II internment camps in which Japanese Americans were placed. The others are pictures of 19th-century railroad and agricultural workers, and Little Tokyo in its early days.
