Millard Sheets attended the Chouinard Art Institute. He was recognized as the leading figure behind the California Style watercolor movement. Through his teaching at Chouinard Art Institute, Otis Art Institute, Scripps College and other institutions, Sheets taught hundreds of artists how to paint, and then and then guided them into art careers.
