Citing Saturday morning cartoons as a central influence on his art, Ausgang works with both aerosol and brush. He uses the accessible imagery of comics to explore such serious subjects as animal rights and issues of gender. He has designed and painted many murals for film and TV productions, such as Terminator 2 and Dutch Treat. Ausgang was born in Point-a-Pierre, Trinidad and Tobago, and studied art at the University of Texas in Austin, then later at Otis/Parsons. His paintings on canvas have been shown throughout the United States and he has done a variety of illustration work, including character design for animatronics and CD ROMs. Ausgang's Exit Studios is located in Hollywood. (Robin K.
