Patrick studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, at Otis Art Institute, and privately with Anton Sabas. In 1991 she did her first mural in many years. In the mid-1970s she completed a mural on important Black women in history with the Citywide Mural Project, but it was soon destroyed when its site changed ownership. For about 10 years she ran a local community gallery called Aliceland. The bad economy forced its closure in 1991. (Robin K. Dunitz, Street Gallery, Guide to over 1000 Los Angeles Murals)
